Folklife Collection - Grandpa's War Stories

by Salisbury University Students (1992)

1 folder (0.1 linear feet)

In 1992, former Salisbury University student Keith J. Wilson collected folk material. His collection retraces the war stories of his grandfather. One interesting thing that Keith pointed out in his essay is how his outlook has changed over the years. As a child, he thought that his grandfather was the good guy who shoot bad guys. During this interview, however, he realized that his grandfather did not hate the Germans, which made him reflect on how he was taught to hate any other country against the United States. All in all, the interview helped him learn more about his grandfathers and his beliefs. Tape enclosed.
